Blackberry and OCS 2007 R1 or R2

{1st bolg posted via Windows Live Writer 2011 Beta Wink}

Blackberry Client can run with OCS 2007 R2 with CWA 2007 R1. Below are the requirements for BB & OCS Integration:

BES server:

  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server v4.1.6 or higher,
  • BlackBerry Enterprise Server Collaboration Service installed and configured
  • BlackBerry Enterprise Server Collaboration Service enabled for end users

BlackBerry Device:

  • BlackBerry® Device Software v4.1 or higher
  • BlackBerry IM client for use with Office Communications Server 2007.

OCS system:

  • CWA is a must. Blackberry clients only make a connection to the BES server which proxies the requests to OCS CWA – they don’t behave like Windows Mobile clients making requests to the Edge server.
  • CWA requires Forms-based and Windows Authentication for BES to connect and pass authentication.

But, till today, Blackberry ONLY support CWA 2007 R1, does NOT support CWA 2007 R2
