Disable OWA in E2K10

Due to security reason, it has to disable OWA for all mailboxes in Exchange 2010, but there is no default setting to disable OWA function for a new created mailbox.   The easy way for this is to change the permissions of OWA Virtual Directory – By default “Authenticated Users” have read permission.  after the change, when user tries to access the owa page, an error will be show up.

this approach is also applied to ActiveSync if need
